March 16th

Barry and I love the town of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Old Mesilla is the quaint original spanish town where Billy the Kid was killed.

Yesterday, we went to the Basilica of San Albino. Beautiful church and after mass the young parishioners bleached all the pews and books. Also, they had hand sanitizer in the holy water holders. The priest ask us not to take them. Lol

Today, we travelled to visit Carlsbad, New Mexico. We drove into El Paso, Texas and continued to Carlsbad Caverns, NM. On our way we stopped at the Guadalupe Mountain National Park, tallest mountain in Texas.

Into Texas we go for a short time

Another border patrol checkpoint
Looks like the Guadalupe Mountains are floating on the clouds

Back in New Mexico, hope we can see the caverns tomorrow. Depends on the Corona virus; they can close the caverns. Hope not!!
